Government contracts and financial management. Need to know more?

Who is the world’s largest customer? Our government. The federal government alone, typically purchases $400+ BILLION in goods and services, from light bulbs to PR, and from landscaping services to food products. Last year, over $100 billion in contracts were awarded to small businesses.

Small business contracts are growing by 50% within the next two years. Is your business ready to reap some of those rewards? The UGA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will present an online webinar with the 411 on what you’ll need to know on Wednesday, August 9, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.

The course will cover information on a variety of topics about selling to the government and the certifications you’ll need to be successful.

Another upcoming SBDC course will cover financial management to grow your business. The program content will be designed to educate the business owner on the importance of good financial data and how to use that financial data for both tactical and strategic decision-making. The program will cover the process around analyzing the numbers to improve cash flow and profits.

That online course will be offered on August 24, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Other topics this month include writing a dynamic business plan and making the most of email marketing.

To register for any of these courses, visit UGA SBDC.
