Lecture at Augusta University to address on-line ethics

Next week, a digital expert will discuss how web designers can incorporate ethics and empathy into creating a positive user experience.

Denise Weiss – UX strategy and digital operations leader for Deloitte Insights, will deliver a lecture titled “The Ethical Case for Digital Empathy in User Experience” on Monday, Oct. 4 from 6-7 p.m. in Augusta University’s Jaguar Student Activities Ballroom. The presentation, part of the James M. Hull College of Business’s Russell A. Blanchard Distinguished Lecture Series in Ethics, is free and open to the public. “Ethics are a critical part of business, and the Blanchard Series addresses ethical issues for our students and local business community,” says Dr. Richard M. Franza, the college’s dean and a professor of management. “This year’s topic is especially timely as it addresses the importance of ethics when considering your customers’ online experience.”
