After 12 years in business, Jeriann Benton is retiring and closing her women’s clothing shop in Augusta.
Benton, owner of 3 Chicks Boutique, located at 343 Highland Ave. in Surrey Center, has announced the store will officially close its doors on Saturday, June 24. ABD reached out to her, and she shared a letter she sent to her customers.
“This little store has been a wonderful place for me to spend my time and energy, serving you and our community,” Benton said in the letter. “Over the years, people have always asked if having a boutique was a dream of mine, but truth be told, it was never in my plans; like much of life, opportunities present themselves, and you seize the moment.”
The store sells a variety of items, including not only apparel, but also jewelry, shoes, purses, and gifts. Many of those items are currently on sale at discounted prices.

She said as a business owner, her goal has been to provide a fun, welcoming environment for her customers.
“From the start, that’s always been my consistent theme: making you feel at home,” Benton said.
She said her children have moved out of the house, and she and her husband are looking forward to the next chapter of their lives.
Benton also encouraged her customers to use their gift certificates and shop now to find the items they want, while they’re still in stock.

“I will look forward to seeing everyone as you help me close the store and this chapter of my life,” she said. “Thank you so very much for a wonderful 12-year run.”
The store is open Monday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the 3 Chicks Boutique Facebook page or call 706-364-7636.
