$2 million hotel transformation in Augusta

The former Baymont Inn and Suites on Frontage Road NW is now Garner Hotel Augusta West—part of the IHG brand with 13 hotels in the CSRA.

There’s also a powerful connection to Fort Gordon.

This Garner hotel is one of two in the CSRA (Aiken) and part of only 20 Garner hotels in the U.S.

Garner Augusta is located off Bobby Jones Expressway and I-20, just a few miles from the Fort Gordon exit on the BJE.

“From check-in to checkout, every detail’s been rethought with Garner’s warmth and wit,” said Liz Churchville, Sales Director of the Augusta hotel.

According to a news release, there are revamped guest rooms and upgraded amenities designed for comfort and ease.  There are streamlined guest communications and dynamic forms powered by HotelKey.

Garner is considered a new midscale brand. The current rate is $69 online through an IHG member discount.

IHG Hotels & Resorts is the exclusive lodging partner for the U.S. Army through the Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL) program, operating over 70 hotels across 40 Army installations nationwide.

Ravinder Jerath is the founder and principal of Augusta Hospitality Management Group, which manages Garner Hotel Augusta West.

He has owned and operated multiple hotel properties in the region for more than 16 years.

Sales Director Liz Churchville says his continued investment underscores his belief in the city’s long-term potential as a destination for business and leisure travelers.
