Women’s boutique to open in Augusta shopping center

A women’s boutique with about 20 locations scattered throughout the Southeast is bringing a new location to the Augusta Exchange shopping center, according to Meybohm Commercial Properties. Lizard Thicket Boutique will be located at 253 Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway, Suite A. The company sells a variety of items, including clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. “We are expecting to open sometime in October, but we have had unexpected construction delays,” a company representative said. 10th Street will become the site of the daylong block party

Last month, Manny Hatzis opened a sports bar on 10th Street. On Oct. 8, he, along with other restaurants on that street collaborated to plan a free outdoor event. Hatzis, owner of Manny’s Sports Off Broad, will be one of the hosts of the 10th Street Bazaar, a block party that will be held between Broad and Ellis Streets from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event will feature street cooking and local artists, musicians, and vendors, such as Sweet Pea Soapery, Sage & Cedar Organics, and Black Rose Jewelry.
