Another step forward in solving the CSRA doctor shortage

Aiken Regional Medical Centers is joining a nationwide movement to address the public health crisis of a physician shortage.

As ABD has reported, this shortage is a public health crisis impacting access to care, especially in rural areas, leading to longer wait times, delayed diagnoses, and increased use of emergency services.

Aiken Regional Medical Centers (ARMC) recently hosted its resident physicians for Resident Research Day. The Graduate Medical Education Program hosts this event to showcase the residency program’s commitment to advancing medicine through diverse and comprehensive research projects that explore clinical practice and innovative approaches to care for improved patient outcomes.

The research presentations allow residents and faculty mentors to collaborate on scholarly work. Twelve presentations were on display for medical providers, colleagues, staff, and guests to review, and residents were nearby their poster presentations to discuss their work and answer questions.

The following research presentations were selected by the scholarly review of faculty from the Graduate Medical Education Program.
