About 25 marketing, real estate, and other business sponsors are pitching in to make the National Community Development Association 2022 Region IV Conference a success on Sept. 13-16 at the Augusta Marriott Convention Center.
The conference will focus on community transformation with success stories like the re-gentrification of blighted areas in the Laney Walker corridor.
Transforming Lives – Impacting Lives is the theme for this year’s gathering. The three-day conference brings together community development professionals from across the region to discuss the latest federal policies and best practices for addressing community development, including the national issues of affordable housing and homelessness.
Training, speaker sessions, roundtables, and panel discussion topics include supporting small businesses through workforce development and enhancement, reimaging and reengineering community development, and housing counseling.

“Goodwill is proud to sponsor and participate in the 2022 NCDA Region IV Conference as a partner in the workforce and career development,” said Leah Pontani, Senior Vice President of Career Development, Goodwill of Middle Georgia, and the CSRA. “We look forward to learning from other organizations and agencies, sharing our mission delivery and impact, as well as hosting the group at Edgar’s Above Broad.”
