For many companies, offering financial incentives has become a way to recruit new employees. But an Augusta-based employment agency is offering an incentive that has four wheels and an engine.
Sizemore Inc., which provides staffing and recruiting services for janitorial, security, and other types of positions, is giving its new and current employees the chance to win a brand-new car.
To be eligible, a worker must be employed full-time by Thursday, Sept. 1, and have perfect attendance until the drawing, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 24. The giveaway is open to all employees companywide.
“It’s hard to get people to work right now,” said Sizemore’s Senior Corporate Communications Coordinator, Joey Warren. “This is a way to attract new employees and reward someone who’s been working here for a while.”
Warren said the company hasn’t determined what type of car it will give away, but it will probably be worth around $25,000. He doesn’t think they’ve received an influx of applications yet because the giveaway was just announced last Thursday.
“It’s also a way to build our brand and get our name out there,” Warren said. “When people hear Sizemore, they think of security, but we do a lot more than that.”
