It’s been a “nutty 13-year run” for the Kyzers in the CSRA. A few years ago, they moved their family to Florida’s coast just south of Savannah. Now, they’ve moved their headquarters and bakery to the beach.
Watanut will still have a big presence in the CSRA.
The store at 3309 Washington Road in Martinez closed on December 31, 2025. The Kyzers began their roasted nut and baked shortbread gift business on Jones Street in Augusta, moved to Walton’s Corner, and then to Washington Road. Handmade daily to order, all edible gifts are crafted free of preservatives and artificial flavors.

While the primary production facility will move to a new headquarters in Fernandina Beach, the founders say the CSRA market is still very important.
“Augusta has been our home and our incubator for over a decade. To all our friends and loyal customers, we greatly appreciate your past and continued support,” says Brian. “While our ovens are moving to the coast, we are making it easier than ever for our Augusta fans to stay connected to the treats and gifts they love.”
Watanut products will remain physically available at Augusta retail partners, including Augusta Gift Baskets, Swank, Augusta & Co., The Maker & Merchant, The Meadows in Aiken, and Pecan Row in Waynesboro, along with 500 or so other retailers across the U.S.
The full collection of gourmet treats is available 24/7 at watanut.com for doorstep delivery.
The Kyzers are in negotiations to hold their annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop in Augusta.
“We still have lots of ties and family in Augusta that we will remain close to, “added Kam Kyzer.
