It was standing room only at a new bustling bank in National Hills at 2805 Washington Road. National and local leaders from the Chase Bank came to the city to celebrate the opening and to announce plans to open up to six branches in the region over the next three years.
A Chase executive told ABD at the event that the next two branches to open will be in Aiken and South Augusta.
CSRA Chamber and political leaders joined the lunchtime ribbon-cutting and took a tour of the Chase bank, which encompasses several storefronts in the shopping center in front of the Kroger Supermarket.
Chase already has a strong customer base in Augusta, serving nearly 70,000 consumers and more than 3,000 businesses. To support further growth, Chase will not only open more branches, but will also hire bankers, managers, and financial advisors from the local area to support the products and services offered.
“When we come to a community, we aim to be a trusted, long-term partner in the financial journeys of our customers. Augusta is no exception,” said Roxann Cooke, Regional Director of Consumer Banking at Chase. “As we get to know the people and businesses of Augusta– and they get to know us – we hope to help as many people as possible achieve their financial goals, while also driving the community’s overall growth and well-being. With this new branch here at National Hills, we are on our way.”
Designed as advice centers, Chase branches combine modern design, open layout, and state-of-the-art banking technology to reflect how customers engage today. The new National Hills branch exemplifies this approach, providing a welcoming environment for customers and offering a range of services through a team of employees, including a Chase Private Client advisor, relationship bankers, a home lending advisor, and a business banker. The branch also features both walk-up and drive-up ATMs. Conveniently located in front of a Kroger and across from the Augusta National Golf Course, the branch is well-positioned to serve the community.
“Today is an exciting day for me, personally and professionally. As a native of Augusta, I have been anticipating the opportunity to provide what I believe will be an economic boost to the deserving people and businesses of my hometown,” said Robert Studdard, Branch Manager at National Hills. “Further, as a military veteran, I look forward to helping my company localize its already significant commitments to military veterans and their families, as well as to the broader community.”
JPMorgan Chase has a long-standing commitment to supporting the military community. As a founding member of the Veterans Jobs Mission, the firm has hired more than 20,000 veterans and 3,000+ military spouses since 2011. This month, the firm is sponsoring Carry the Load’s Memorial May campaign, which brings communities together to honor and remember the sacrifices made in service to our country.
