On Wednesday, Dec. 8, the Augusta’s Entrepreneur Award was presented to Charlie Wall and Jason Kennedy – Co-founders of Loop Recruiting, during the Augusta Metro Chambers’ Member Economic Luncheon at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center. The Corporation of the Year award went to Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.

Founded in 2015, Loop Recruiting – located at 972 Broad St. in Augusta, provides staffing services for many large technology companies, such as TaxSlayer, Unisys, and Electrolux. The business recruits employees for a variety of jobs, including direct-hire positions, temporary employment opportunities, and executive roles. Wall and Kennedy expressed appreciation for both their team and families for their support. “It’s really a testament to the support we’ve received from the Chamber,” says Kennedy, who earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Augusta University. He explains winning the award wouldn’t have been possible without the Loop Recruiting team. “Everyone works really hard,” Kennedy states.
Savannah River Nuclear Solutions LLC – based in Aiken, is responsible for managing nuclear operations, environmental safety, and waste cleanup at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site. Founded in 2008, the company has over 5,000 employees and an annual revenue of more than $200 million. Stuart MacVean – President and Chief Executive Officer of SRNS, accepted the Corporation of the Year award on behalf of the company. “We take our corporate responsibility very seriously,” says MacVean. “This award encourages our employees to continue volunteering and giving back to the community.”

In addition to the awards presentation, the keynote speaker was Allen Fox, Director of Small Business Outreach for the Georgia Department of Economic Development. In his presentation, Fox shared various resources designed to help small businesses succeed.
