As a result of an employee-led fundraising campaign, SRP Federal Credit Union presented a ceremonial check of over $7,700 to the Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia this week.
SRP team members, La’Kisha Johnson and Charmaine Finch, organized the campaign, which spanned bake sales, PTO drawings, food truck fundraisers, and more. The fundraiser concluded with a total of $7,730.74 raised for the Children’s Hospital, as well as 62 SRP teddy bears donated for children receiving care.
Kelsey McCullough, Miracle Network Philanthropy Coordinator for the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, expressed gratitude for SRP’s company fundraiser.
“We are grateful for SRP Federal Credit Union’s ongoing support of Wellstar Children’s Hospital of Georgia,” said McCullough. “These donations will directly impact our pediatric patients, helping ensure they have continued access to the best technology, equipment, and programs their care requires. We couldn’t do what we do without community partners like SRP Federal Credit Union.”
Guided by the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People,” SRP Federal Credit Union is committed to outreach, volunteer efforts, and philanthropy. In 2025, in addition to the fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital for Georgia, SRP has provided support for the American Heart Association, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta, local schools, and more.
“Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our SRP team members, we had the honor of presenting over $7,700 to help the children and families receiving care at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia,” said Finch. “We are incredibly proud of our employees who allow us to tell our community, ‘Good things are happening at SRP!’”
