Business Lunch Review: Roma’s Pizza

Overall Rating: 3.75 out of 5

Pizza has always been one of my favorite foods, and I don’t foresee that changing in my lifetime. But not all pizzas are created equal. Over the years, I’ve tried various types of pies with a wide array of unique toppings. For example, many years ago, Pizza Hut sold a Steak Lovers Pizza topped with A.1. Steak Sauce, and the company now offers a Hawaiian Luau Pizza with pineapple, probably the most controversial topping.

For this week’s review, my wife, Rebecca, and I visited Roma’s Pizza at 1133 Agerton Lane between Jimmy John’s and Limelite Café. The food and service are almost always excellent. We both ordered two slices of deluxe pizza, which included several toppings, such as sausage, onions, and mushrooms.

We disagreed about the food quality because it was cold. I enjoyed it, but my opinion on pizza is even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. Besides, I always eat leftover pizza cold, but she was disappointed, and I understood why. While the service was fast and friendly, it was a little too fast. But to be fair, the staff was juggling multiple orders, and no restaurant is perfect. We also enjoyed a pitcher of Bud Light with our meal, so the experience could’ve been much worse.

We’ve visited Roma’s on the weekends when it’s busier, but it never gets too loud, making it an ideal location to hold a business meeting. In terms of value, we paid $4.99 per slice at Roma’s, which is almost $1.75 less than The Pizza Joint charges for its slices.

Our visit to Roma’s could’ve been better, but I think they deserve another chance.
