Construction is underway on improvements at Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) that will help passengers get through security more quickly. The work is the terminal checkpoint modernization project. Generac, the Wisconsin-based manufacturer of portable and backup generators for residential and commercial use, has opened a distribution center. When I moved to Augusta over 20 years ago, one of the selling points was its affordability, especially for housing. Unfortunately, that may be changing.
