The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is soliciting public input on the Palmetto State’s future transportation needs. Simon Says: 2024 Augusta job earnings heavily outpace inflation

Now that all the labor market data is finalized, I can reveal that the fastest-growing labor market in 2024 in Georgia was Brunswick at 2.7%.  Warner Robins also recorded growth of over 2 percent. Augusta clocked in at 0.6%, just below the state average of 0.8%. Gainesville, which has seen tremendous growth over the last 15 years, recorded negative growth for 2024. Teams of graduate and undergraduate students at Augusta University presented what they believe can be solutions for real-world challenges. They competed in the 6th Annual INNOVATE Pitch Competition hosted by the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center. The first competition in 2019 was to find solutions for a 15-year-old girl who was living with a colostomy bag, one of an estimated half-million people with the same challenge. Patrick Wells will be leaving for a ceremony in Washington D.C. in early May as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Georgia honoree. He hopes to return to Augusta as the SBA’s Small Business Person of the Year in the U.S. Wells owns Piedmont Landscape Management, a commercial landscape maintenance company in Augusta. The Masters Welcome Mat is Out
