Restaurant set to re-open after holiday car accident

The staff at an Evans restaurant got an unwanted Christmas gift on Christmas Eve. A driver careened into the side of the eatery, destroying the drive-thru window and causing significant damage to the adjacent kitchen. This week, remodelers hope to complete work on the Chicken Fingers Restaurant at the corner of Blue Ridge Drive and Evans to Locks Road. Air Show Augusta coming back for a third year

Augusta Regional Airport will have a busy April in 2025 with two events generating visitors. First is the 89th annual Masters Tournament, which will run April 7th – 13th next year. Local Supermarket Chain helps those recovering from Hurricane Helene

Those suffering from food shortages in their home can take advantage of a $300,000 grant given to the Golden Harvest Food Bank by a large supermarket chain. Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation presented a $300,000 disaster relief grant to the Food Bank. “Food Lion has always stood alongside us, supporting our mission to feed our neighbors in need,” said Amy Breitmann, President and CEO, Golden Harvest Food Bank. “This $300,000 grant is yet another example of their unwavering commitment, bringing hope and vital relief to families recovering from the storm.”

Growing the workforce in Georgia and South Carolina

Brian Kemp (R) recently announced a commission he created through the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB).
