This fall, the University of South Carolina Aiken will offer a new master’s degree program in Education Leadership. The online distance education program will allow participants to pursue principal certification, supporting local teachers who wish to move into leadership roles while increasing the pool of qualified candidates for local schools. Local small business WesWorks, LLC has partnered with Aiken Technical College and Apprenticeship Carolina to launch an apprenticeship program for project controls at the Savannah River Site. “The program will offer hands-on training with WesWorks and coursework at Aiken Technical College in Primavera P6, Excel, and Project Controls Fundamentals,” said Aiken Tech’s School of Technical and Continuing Education Dean, Dr. Steven Simmons.
