Medical Center opening 9th location

A primary care center is building its newest location on the border of Richmond and Columbia County. Center for Primary Care (CPC) first opened in 1993. This location is getting built on Furys Ferry Road near Riverwatch Parkway, behind Ziggy’s Coffee, and next to Winchester Homes. CPC has 37 primary care physicians in their locations, which include multiple offices in Richmond, Columbia, and Aiken counties, plus one in Thomson. Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare has fulfilled a promise it made to the Augusta community four years ago when they absorbed University Hospital Health Care into their system. Piedmont’s Augusta Hub on Wednesday distributed $2 million to 44 not-for-profit organizations in Augusta and surrounding communities.
