More than 100 families were in line outside the Bell Auditorium starting an hour before the Hawk Law Group Bookbag Bash on Saturday. The annual event is a perfect fit within the “Hawk Helps” ongoing campaign.
“We do personal injury law and try and help families every day, “said Marketing Director, Lindsey McCullough, who began focusing on getting sponsors and supplies soon after handing out holiday gifts last December as part of its’ Season of Giving’ efforts.
Dozens of sponsors provided school supplies, money, and in-kind services for the three-hour event. An army of volunteers and staff helped make sure the 1200 plus adults and children felt special.
“Our goal was to provide enough school supplies for 1,000 children, and we reached it,” added McCullough.
