Newsome Electrical Construction, LLC has been awarded the electrical construction contract for the Shaws Creek Water Treatment facility in Aiken.
Working alongside Harper General Contractors, Newsome will construct the electrical infrastructure for the water treatment plant, administration and chemical buildings, and new utility building. In addition to installing and distributing power systems, the project includes site lighting, fire alarms, and a lightning protection system.

The project, which broke ground in December, will include an enhanced water treatment and chemical process, with completion expected by 2026. Once operational, the plant will increase current water processing capabilities by 35%.
