This Wednesday and Friday morning, you’re invited to FREE workshops to get you ready for a big job fair on September 9th.
The workshops aim to equip local job seekers with the skills and confidence to make a strong impression on potential employers.
The Career Services Department at Goodwill will help you craft a standout resume to ace the interview. Each session will provide practical advice and hands-on support to help participants navigate the Expo with confidence.
“We want to ensure that every job seeker who walks into the Expo is fully prepared to seize the opportunities available to them,” said Carlye Thompson, Senior Director of Career Services at Goodwill. “These workshops are our way of providing the tools they need to succeed and secure meaningful employment.”
Participants in the workshops will receive a certificate for two free professional clothing items from a GIMG retail store, ensuring they are dressed to impress at the Expo. ABD’s Mitzi Oxford will have more on that part of the story in the next several days.

The Career & Resource Expo itself will be held on September 9, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Snelling Conference Center, providing a unique opportunity for local job seekers to connect with a wide range of employers and resources in the area.
