Gary Gibson, owner of two Gary’s Hamburgers restaurants in the CSRA was awoken Friday to calls from his restaurants, after an anonymous person in the group, “Disgusta” said after 40 years Gary’s restaurants would close at the end of September.
“That’s totally false,” said Gibson.
The group has 82,000 members and allows its members to gripe about issues in the CSRA.
Gibson wonders if upcoming, temporary store closings may have caused the post.

Due to staffing shortages here at the North Augusta store and the Washington Road store, each store will close for a week in July. Signs went up over the weekend to let customers know.
Gibson says it was flattering to hear about how much people enjoy Gary’s and how he deserves to retire.
“I have no exit strategies,” said Gibson.
His daughter did reach out to the Disgusta page, and the post was apparently taken down. This reporter was not able to find it.
“If you don’t put your name on something, it doesn’t mean much to me, “added Gibson.
