If you want to reach the summit of job opportunities, this is your chance. Almost 100 employers will be looking for thousands of employees this week at the annual Fort Gordon Career Summit.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Gordon Transition Assistance Program (TAP) are the hosts for the Hiring Our Heroes event on Thursday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gordon Catering and Conference Center. While the hiring fair is primarily intended for military members transitioning out of the service and military spouses, it’s open to anyone in the CSRA.
More than 350 job seekers are expected and about half of the employers may offer jobs on the spot. The list of companies participating includes Honeywell, Booz Allen Hamilton, Kimberly Clark, Lockheed Martin, Penske, Piedmont Airlines, and Zebra Technologies.

An Ambassador for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, Hon. Patrick Murphy, will be a special guest during the event. As the 32nd Under Secretary of the U.S. Army, Murphy led a Fortune 2-sized workforce with 1.3 million employees and the most millennial and Gen Z employees in the nation, operating on a $148 billion budget. He is a general partner of a venture capital firm that has invested over $19 million in 49 veteran-owned businesses.
The Fort Gordon Army Transition Assistance Program provides service members with the counseling, employment, and education resources they need to achieve a smooth and seamless transition from the military to the civilian sector.
The Career Summit will be proceeded by a networking reception on Wednesday, June 21, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Both events will be held at the Gordon Conference Center, 19th Street, Bldg. 18402.
