NA celebrates 5th anniversary for 3rd Thursday

North Augusta is growing by leaps and bounds. It seems almost weekly that ABD is bringing you stories about new businesses in the area including the latest Beacon Bluff developments.

Five years ago, North Augusta Forward began Third Thursday events to highlight shopping, dining, and listening to live music locally. Today, they have more businesses to highlight.

It’s been a successful venture for the organization and the businesses being promoted. Today’s Third Thursday celebrates their 5th Anniversary from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. When you get off work, you can join the fun.

Additionally, two businesses are celebrating their birthdays including The Grove Gourmet Market and Shoppe 3130.

The Grove Gourmet Market was previously known as Town Square Olive Oil and Wine. They will still offer a selection of wine and various oil tastings. Shoppe 3130 is a boutique that features clothing and locally inspired art pieces.

North Augusta 2000 was founded with the purpose of developing a clear vision for the city of North Augusta, SC. 65 community leaders came forward and developed the North Augusta 2000 campaign. Five years later, the name was changed to North Augusta Forward. The Third Thursday initiative began in 2019 and occurs every third Thursday of the month. It is also a member of Main Street America, a national downtown revitalization program.

Some familiar businesses and a few newcomers will join in the celebration later today, including Antonio’s Italian Eatery, Bowl Boss, Fleet Feet, Gary’s Hamburgers, Orange Otter Toy Store, SNO-CAP Drive-In, Vampire Penguin, and Zack’s Pizza.
