Bob Iger, former CEO of the Walt Disney Company, and Ron Howard, child actor from The Andy Griffith Show and Academy Award-winning filmmaker, (both pictured above) will headline the 2022 Global Leadership Summit.
“We always think (Summit) can’t get any better,” said Robbie King, the Augusta Area Coordinator for the GLS at the satellite host site of True North Church in North Augusta. “This year is the most excited I’ve been.”
King said the 2021 Summit attracted 250 business, organization, and church leaders, plus other community influencers and he is expecting even more during the August 4-5 conference, including company leadership teams attending together.
Retaining and recruiting the best company employees is still critical to CSRA companies, so the Society of Human Resource President and CEO, Johnny Taylor is offering an incentive for employers and employees to attend.

Jade Wolfe, a real estate consultant with The Hartley Group, attended the Summit for the first time last year but said she plans to return each year. “It’s not about not having fears, but facing our fears,” she said after last year’s summit.
King is proud of all the work the GLS does promoting values-based leadership around the world, supporting prison ministries and igniting transformation. There will be more than 500 satellite locations broadcasting the live feed from the main campus in South Barrington, Ill., near Chicago, inspiring a global audience.
“What I love about the summit is that information and thoughts are shared on current issues and you leave with fresh, actionable ideas you can implement starting tomorrow,” King said.
