Two events will celebrate significant progress in North Augusta today. The first at 5:15 pm on the corner of West/Bluff Avenue, features an announcement by the Beacon Bluff team of another tenant for the mixed-use development.
Brinkley’s Tavern on the Bluff will be opening soon. The new restaurant is the latest venture from Brinkley’s Chop House owners, Terry and Cimberlie Brinkley.

As ABD reported in late March, Utah-based Melty restaurant is also coming to Beacon Bluff and is scheduled to open in the coming weeks. The eatery, featuring a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, is also opening soon in Aiken Town Park.
Then at 5:45 pm, there will be a ribbon cutting for the new Downtown Greeneway Connector which is viewed as a catalyst for development to move forward from the original 2015 Master Plan.
North Augusta’s Fleet Feet at Beacon Bluff will host a soft opening today from 10 am until 8 pm. As we reported earlier, this will be the second location for the athletic lifestyle store with the other at Furys Ferry Road and Riverwatch Parkway. The new Fleet Feet location will host their regular Thursday group run following the ribbon cutting. The store will also offer gift w/purchases, light refreshments, and beverages throughout the day.
Today is also the Third Thursday in North Augusta. Free trolley rides, sidewalk chalk contests, shopping, and dining will be part of the festivities. Parking is available at 210 Georgia Ave., the parking lot by the North Augusta Dance Studio, and all public spaces in downtown North Augusta.
The events today are a culmination of the efforts from North Augusta Forward with a mission of partnering with residents, businesses, governments, and community organizations to serve as a catalyst for the continued transformation of North Augusta.
Stay tuned to ABD for the latest updates on these projects and openings.
