New Goodwill Donation Center at Popular Restaurant

As of yesterday, you can now eat, drink, and donate at Dave and Buster’s in Augusta. A Goodwill donation truck will be parked daily at the 807 Cabela Drive location from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

This new donation center marks an expansion of Goodwill’s reach in the CSRA. Donations, including clothing and household items, will directly support Goodwill’s mission to help individuals in the community achieve greater financial independence through job skill training, career coaching, and education. Through this partnership, Goodwill will continue to offer access to affordable education and job services at Helms College, and five CSRA Job Connection Career Centers.

“Goodwill is all about giving people a hand-up,” said Jim Stiff, President of Goodwill of Middle Georgia & the CSRA. “Dave & Buster’s has joined Goodwill to offer Riverwatch customers, guests, and residents a convenient way to donate and help others build better futures.”

In addition to the new donation center at Dave & Buster’s, Goodwill has expanded its local presence with additional new sites, including an additional donation center truck in Daniel Village, a Southeastern Development property, and a new retail training store, a donation drive-thru, and a career center in Thompson. These new locations are part of Goodwill’s ongoing effort to increase access to its free job training and career services, which are available to anyone in the community.

“We are witnessing a growing demand for career services and educational programs, and donations are essential to support the expansion of these vital services,” continued Stiff. “Every donation you make lifts someone onto a career pathway out of poverty to a more abundant life.”
