Optimizing Your Google Listings Part 3

This is the final article on optimizing your Google listing. Up to this point, we have built out the first four sections (business information, hours, products, and services). Today we’ll run through the booking, photo, logo and cover photo sections.

After you complete these, you are ready to be up and running with your Google business profile.

Booking Section

In the booking section, you can either create a featured book button or link to your existing online booking tools.

Here you can connect to dozens of Google partners that are integrated with Google, such as Bookia, Barberly, Appointy, Dineout, EZTable, OpenSalon, Waitlist, Square Appointments, Wix and more. You will need to sign up with the partner after selecting one of these accounts.

The other option is to link to your existing online tools. In the example above, we simply link to our contact page. Either way, this is another touchpoint to get customers to interact with you. Be sure to use it!

The Photos, Logo and Cover Photos Sections

Completing each of these sections will help to finish your profile and make it more appealing to potential customers.

You can see from the image, the cover photo appears above the company name and clicking on it will allow you to see other photos that you have added. If you are a brick and mortar shop, pictures of the outside, inside and products are great additions to this section.

The product section is quick and easy to add. You can even add pricing if you are selling a specific product or you can put the product in a category (like Business Listings above) if you have multiple products or customized solutions.

So what does it all mean?

If you have followed along the last three weeks, congratulations! You have now completed each of the sections in your Google Business Profile:

  • Business information
  • Hours
  • Products
  • Services
  • Booking
  • Photo
  • Logo
  • Cover photo

From here, you can build your business online through interactivity with customers through reviews and through adding updates and offers to your profile. We will cover these next week.

As always, if you want to do a complementary audit on your business to see where you stand today, you can do so at https://grouprb.com/get-your-free-online-audit-report/.
