Photographer’s Business Captures the Moment

Addie Strozier is a “piece of work” in all the best, most creative ways. While that phrase can describe someone difficult to understand, it is also used to show admiration or respect for someone particularly skilled or talented, and that she is, as a photographer and owner of Addie Strozier Fine Art Photography.

She loves the minute details of art, going places off the beaten path, and helping people look at something from a different angle. As her caption in business, the World Eye See proclaims, it’s all about capturing the moment.

“I want to show people the world I see through my eyes. There is so much beauty in the world, you just have to open your eyes,” explained Strozier.

This is the woman who hit the road recently at 4:00 AM to head to the Cypress Wetlands in Port Royal, SC, to capture the birds. She did that while most might be sleeping, having breakfast, or getting ready to head to the office. Her office is usually the great outdoors.

“Is it a job, yes, but I love it. It’s an opportunity to get out and enjoy what is around you and share it with others. I love finding the heart in nature.”

Make no mistake, as ABD has previously reported, the arts in the CSRA have pumped millions of dollars into the economy and created hundreds of jobs.

Think of the Morris Museum located on the Riverwalk in downtown Augusta. It is the oldest museum in the country that is specifically devoted to the art and artists of the American South, and is noted for its multifaceted permanent collection of more than 6,000 works of art. Yes, art is a big deal.

Addie Strozier follows her instincts. She grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, and moved to Augusta because she fell in love with Disc Golf. After serving several years as the Memberships Manager for the Professional Disc Golf Association and taking photos at their events, the inner call to devote full-time efforts to her photography resulted in a new career.

The Masters has been a part of her journey. Strozier has attended since 2007, and when she’s lucky, she gets to shoot the practice rounds. This year, the course looked a little different following the ravages of Hurricane Helene.

“You can definitely see more of the course. There are obvious patches of light where there weren’t before because of the downed trees.”

Sometimes one picture can lead to the next opportunity. Artist Justyn Farano saw one of Strozier’s shots from last year’s Masters. He ended up painting it. That was one of the highlights of her career.

At the beginning of this year, she unveiled a new website to better showcase her art. Creative entrepreneurs should take note to think outside the box. Strozier has created an affiliate program and has been working with interior contractors, decorators, and designers to find the perfect fine art photograph for homes and businesses.

“The site includes a Life Preview AR function to allow a client to hold their phone up to the artwork and see how it will look on the wall.”

Brittany Nelson Interiors is one of those affiliates that has had some clients who included Strozier’s work in their design scheme.

“I love her work. It is meaningful and beautiful. I think she picks up details we miss. I wish I had more clients who understood or appreciated how life-changing her work can be,” said Nelson.
