Power companies back on track

Jefferson Energy Cooperative and Georgia Power officials say there are just a few folks without power in their service areas.

Georgia Power says it is now in the financial phase of the storm to work with customers on paying their bills as they can.

November 30th and December 15th are key dates to keep in mind for yourself or loved ones who may need this information.

GP is allowing two-, four-, and six-month installment plans for those who qualify. Enroll by November 30th.

Service disconnections, late fees, and collection activities have been paused until December 15th.

Payment Support

We have suspended service disconnections, waived eligible late fees, and paused collection activities until December 15, 2024.

Installment Payment Plans

We are now offering installment payment plans to give eligible customers additional time and flexibility to pay their bills. If you’re eligible, you can now spread your bill payments over 2, 4, or 6 months with our installment plans. Just enroll by November 30, 2024, to take advantage.

Project SHARE

You may qualify for emergency relief through Project SHARE. Get help with essentials like food, shelter, utilities, and medical care. Contact your local Salvation Army chapter or visit southernusa.salvationarmy.org/georgia to check eligibility.

Income-Qualified Discount

If you have a combined household income of 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or less, you could receive a $33.50 per month discount on your energy bill.

Charitable Donations

The Georgia Power, Southern Company and Southern Company Gas charitable foundations will collectively donate $3 million to aid Hurricane Helene relief efforts aiding local communities. For additional support, visit georgiapower.com/helene.
