In a significant leap towards enhancing digital connectivity for military families, eCommunity™ Fiber, in partnership with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (Exchange), has successfully completed the installation of its cutting-edge fiber-optic internet infrastructure at Fort Eisenhower.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks and introductions, followed by detailed presentations from representatives of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (Exchange), Boldyn Networks, and eCommunity™ Military. Speakers emphasized the project’s pivotal role in modernizing the base’s infrastructure and its positive impact on the community, echoing sentiments highlighted in recent reports regarding the demand for enhanced connectivity.
“Reliable connectivity is essential for military readiness, and we’re proud to deliver that with our fiber-optic network at Fort Eisenhower,” said Christos Karmis, CEO of Boldyn Networks, US. “But this goes beyond readiness—it’s about supporting the people behind the mission. Military families deserve internet that works just as hard as they do.”
This initiative, driven by eCommunity™ Fiber, directly responds to the expressed needs of residents, as highlighted in Army survey feedback, which underscored the desire for more internet provider options, as noted by the Regional Project Director with Balfour Beatty Communities. The newly operational network will provide residents across Fort Eisenhower’s seven on-post neighborhoods with seamless access to online education, remote work, entertainment, and more, significantly improving their quality of life.
