The owners of Koi restaurant on Washington Road in Martinez are expanding into Evans with another Japanese concept.
Fukuro is opening in the new shopping center at 5100 Washington with U.S. Self Storage, Dunkin Donuts, and other fitness and nail concepts.
Their Facebook page shares this information about the new concept.
“Fukuro is not just a place to eat and drink; it’s a destination where tradition and innovation meet, creating a dining experience that’s both familiar and excitingly new. It’s where every visit becomes an opportunity to explore the depth and breadth of Japanese cuisine through a modern lens, complemented by a world-class selection of cocktails.”
The owners of the restaurant are installing a very high-end sushi bar with a fully stocked supply of top-shelf liquor. Fukuro saw a need in Evans as there are no other sushi bars. They will be located across from the entrance to the affluent Riverwood Plantation, where the median family income is well over $100,000 per year.
Yosko’s recently closed in the shopping center in front of Riverwood after pulling the plug on their efforts to offer sushi.
