It’s been a few months since this banner went up introducing YABA Mediterranean Grill to Evans in the same shopping center as Shane’s BBQ and NY Butcher Shoppe.
Let’s Talk Augusta first talked this up and got some interesting comments, including these two from some incredulous female connoisseurs of dining out. “There will literally be 3 Mediterranean restaurants within a mile of each other,” and “How many Mediterranean restaurants do we need in Evans?”
Laziza’s first location is in the Publix shopping center in Evans, and CAVA restaurant recently opened in front of the Mullins Colony shopping center.
YABA replaces Rally Point Grille and will feature made-to-order shawarma, falafel, gyros, bowls, and more. It will be the third location of the restaurant, with the other two in North Carolina.
Paris Baguette bakery café, which is already set to open next to CAVA in Evans, is busy at work building out an end cap unit in one of the new strip centers in Aiken Towne Park on the former property of the closed Aiken mall. They’ll be part of the area’s revitalization to include other restaurants, shops, recreational areas, and upscale apartments.
Paris Baguette makes anything fresh involving dough, including breads, pastries, donuts, cakes, plus sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and coffee.
