60-year company makes acquisition for future growth

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Pollock Company acquired a 36-year-old company to add the last piece of their technology offering in the CSRA.

Advanced Technology Communications (ATG) was founded in 1989, and its customers will now be part of Pollock Company’s ecosystem of end-to-end technology services.

“This acquisition is about more than growth—it’s about investing locally and offering a scope of services and level of convenience that doesn’t currently exist in this market,” said Ed Pollock, CEO of Pollock Company, which is headquartered on 1711 Central Avenue in Augusta with another location in West Columbia, South Carolina.

“Both companies share deep local roots and a commitment to dependable service. By joining forces, we’re able to support our customers as a single source for all of their technology needs, from connectivity and cybersecurity to office equipment and physical protection.”

Part of the reason for the ATG acquisition had to do with the landscape of the Augusta market, that has little to offer from local companies.

“We’re proud to offer another business-critical service to our clients and to be able to help them avoid the frustration of dealing with the ‘big box’ internet service providers,” added Matt Dyches, IT Director of Pollock Company.
