Augusta picked as #1 rising city in America

LinkedIn, a platform dedicated to connecting business leaders together, just released its annual survey. Some of what the CSRA takes for granted caught the attention of LinkedIn and NBC News.

Top industries hiring are the many CSRA hospitals and healthcare businesses, along with higher education and Electric Power Generation, such as Plant Vogtle.

The median household income is $55,485, and the average home listing price is $396,195

So, why is Augusta on the rise? Here’s what LinkedIn says:

“Home to the U.S. Army Cyber Command at Fort Eisenhower and the nation’s largest government cybersecurity facility, Augusta is building on its defense roots to drive growth in industries ranging from medtech to data centers. Beyond the workplace, the city draws international attention as host of the Masters tournament.”

Surveyors also took note of the CSRA’s affordable lifestyle with ample parks and outdoor recreation, like the Lady Antebellum amphitheater and nearby parks in Evans.

Augusta also made national news with this report on the NBC Today show.
