Tomorrow is a big day for a community bank getting ready to grow in the CSRA.
Key F&M Bank employees will take a shovel to dirt at 10 in the morning on Tuesday at 5165 Columbia Road at William Few Parkway near the entrance to the Columbia County Fairgrounds.
The groundbreaking illustrates the bank’s continued commitment to Columbia County—adding to a longtime branch at Evans to Locks Road and Furys Ferry Road in Martinez.
“This new office represents an exciting chapter for F&M Bank and the customers we proudly serve,” said Ed Pope III, President & CEO of F&M Bank. “As Columbia County continues to grow, we’re committed to growing alongside it. While the banking industry continues to evolve, our focus remains the same—building lasting relationships, making local decisions, and providing personalized financial guidance that puts our customers first.”
The new office will open in the Spring of 2027 and offer a full suite of banking services, including:
- Personal and business checking and savings accounts
- Mortgage, consumer, and commercial lending
- Treasury management services
- Financial guidance and relationship banking
- Digital and mobile banking solutions
Updates on the project, construction progress, and future opening events will be shared on F&M Bank’s social media channels and at www.fmbanknow.com.
The bank was founded in 1950 and serves many communities in Georgia, including Washington and Lincolnton in the greater Augusta market.
