Business Leaders Can Master the Art of Cooking

If that sounds like your cup of tea or in this case, cup of flour, Helms College is offering chef classes beginning January 18. It begins a year-long series of hands-on cooking experiences taught by their expert chefs from the School of Hospitality.

The classes, hosted at Helms College’s Augusta campus, provide the perfect opportunity to master new skills, explore diverse recipes, and connect with fellow culinary enthusiasts.

Whether you’re perfecting brunch classics, learning to bake artisan bread, or crafting stunning French-inspired desserts, these classes are designed to inspire and delight.

2025 Class Schedule:

  • January 18 – Brunch: Master classic brunch dishes in this engaging, interactive session.
  • February 15 – Mardi Gras Desserts: Celebrate Mardi Gras with King Cake, pralines, and Bananas Foster.
  • March 15 – Healthy Meals Made Easy: Learn how to create nutritious meals bursting with flavor.
  • April 26 – Bread Basics: Bake aromatic bread and rolls with flavored oils and compound butter.
  • May 17 – Soup: Learn classic techniques to create comforting soups tailored to your taste.
  • June 14—Fresh Pasta: Discover how to make fresh pasta, including ribbon and stuffed varieties, and pair it with delicious sauces.
  • July 19 – Summer Grilling: Enhance your summer cookouts with expert tips, recipes, and grilling techniques.
  • August 9 – Hors D’oeuvres: Impress your guests with sophisticated appetizers.
  • September 13 – Macaroons and Petit Fours:Master elegant macaroons and Opera Cake with advanced piping and decorating techniques.
  • October 18 – Game Day Snacks: Create hearty, crowd-pleasing snacks for your next game-day party.
  • November 15 – Thanksgiving Leftovers: Transform holiday leftovers into exciting, creative dishes.
  • December 6 – Holiday Sweet Treats: Craft stunning French-style desserts to dazzle during the festive season.
