Chamber announces Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch

These 10 CSRA professionals have accomplished a lot in their young careers. Now, the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Augusta Magazine are giving them their flowers! The honorees are all between the ages of 25 and 35 and will be recognized in late June at the Chamber’s Member Economic Luncheon.  They’ll also automatically qualify for Georgia Trend magazine’s 40 Under 40. 35th Anniversary “Monster” celebration

Organizers of yesterday’s 35th Anniversary party left a crowd of several hundred “oohing and ahhing” over a near 25 feet tall vehicle technicians re-built for the ceremony. Matthews Motors revealed their new truck at the end of the two-hour celebration. It will be used for community events in the future. Matthews Motors’ focus is on commercial trucks, including sales, service, parts, and manufacturing of truck beds. Managers gave tours to guests around the spacious property at 1351 Gordon Highway, including a visit to Matthews service facility with 22 truck bays.

Augusta Chef wins Flavor of Georgia award

What started at the farmers market in downtown Augusta has led to huge success for the founder of the Papa Mountain brand of bread rolls. It includes regular appearances on QVC and first place in a competition amongst 180 products. These garlic and herb bread rolls were selected as the winner of the 2026 Flavor of Georgia food product contest grand prize. Greg Parker, owner of several CSRA Parkers Kitchen stores and more than 100 regional stores, just won a national industry award.
