New $10,000 scholarship awarded

Dr. Jermaine Whirl, President of Augusta Technical College, and his wife, Mrs. Marqueta Whirl have pledged $10,000 to create a new endowed scholarship fund at Augusta Tech. In 2020, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) and the Lower Savannah Council of Governments (LSCOG) established an apprenticeship program to address attrition levels and create a pipeline that supports a healthy and thriving workforce.
