A popular downtown florist has announced he will relocate his business in late spring or early summer. Brent Slagle, owner of Flowers on Broad, will move his shop from its current location at 1018 Broad St. to 1030 Greene St. (see photo above story). The shop sells and delivers floral arrangements for a variety of occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and Valentine’s Day. The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce wants to help local companies properly dispose of their electronic waste. That will be the topic of this month’s Third Thursday Business Builder on Thursday, Feb. 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Chamber conference room. The speaker will be Richard Green, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Tech 4 Success, LLC, a local electronics recycling company.
