If you’re like most people, you have a sweet tooth that only a decadent dessert will satisfy. A local dessert shop is expanding by opening a second location in Columbia County.
Whipped Creamery Gourmet Frozen Treats, located at 514 Oxbow Drive near Patriots Park in Grovetown, will open the new location at 353 Furys Ferry Road in the Centre at Furys Ferry in Martinez, according to a news release from Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate. Other tenants include Ladybug’s Flowers & Gifts, Casella Jewelers, and Paleo Num Yums.
Whipped Creamery sells a variety of desserts, such as brownies, cookies, soft serve, and ice cream cakes. They even have a menu item called a dessert burger, which is ice cream sandwiched between two cookies (see photo above story). According to Alea Garvin, the business’s owner and operator, the store should be up and running by Tuesday, March 1. “We refer to ourselves as an ice cream restaurant because of our level of personal customer service and customizable desserts,” says Garvin. “Our menu is more like a blueprint, where you have the creative freedom to design your dessert exactly the way you crave it.” Whipped Creamery offers dairy-free and sugar-free dessert options. She states they also have a food truck and will soon have ice cream carts available to rent for weddings, parties, and other events.
