Augusta University named one of the top employers in Georgia

Many employers claim to be the best, but not every employer is chosen by Forbes for that distinction. Augusta Transit plans job fair next week

Augusta Transit Management will host a job and career fair on Sept. 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at 2844 Regency Blvd., Augusta. Augusta Transit operates the city bus lines and is looking for bus operators. It is offering sign-up bonuses and benefits and will hire walk-ins with the proper licensing. German copper recycler makes $340 million investment in Augusta plant but Riverkeeper asks for delay

A new metal recycling plant is slated to start construction this summer in Augusta Corporate Park in South Augusta, but the Savannah Riverkeeper has filed a petition with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division to delay construction and conduct another review of potential pollutants from the plant.
