Dr. Brooks Keel, President of Augusta University, is spending his final weeks leading the institution. Keel assumed the presidency in July 2015. It marked a coming home for him. An Augusta native, he received his undergraduate degree from what was then Augusta College. He stayed to complete his graduate degree at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). Nation’s largest CyberPatriot Camp x2

This week, more than 150 students are in town for the largest CyberPatriot Camp ever held. The camp hosted by the Alliance for Fort Eisenhower began yesterday and runs through Friday, June 7. The so-called Standard CyberPatriot Camp is designed for beginners with no prior cybersecurity knowledge and covers topics such as the CyberPatriot competition, cybersecurity careers, cyber ethics, online safety, computer fundamentals, virtual machines, and cyber threats. Counting down the final days of Augusta University leadership

Kemp signs legislation targeting workforce and education

USCA has received money from a veteran-owned cybersecurity firm that will fund scholarships for students seeking a career in cybersecurity and computer science. SteelGate, LLC, a Virginia-based company with an office in Augusta, has donated $25,000 to USCA.
