Phoenix Printing is a commercial printing, finishing, specialty product, and graphic design firm thriving in its third generation of success in the Hadden family.
With nearly 150 years in business, Phoenix has grown to be Augusta’s leading print provider to a variety of operations ranging from corporations, academic institutions, government agencies, marketing and communications firms, publications and non-profit organizations, and more.
It is the spirit of hard-working people that makes this family-run business the success that it is. Exceptional service, unmatched quality, and a drive to achieve their best are what each of them commit to, creating not just work, but partnerships.
In fact, current General Manager, Trent Mercer is proudest “when someone calls us their partner and not just a customer. We see them as a partner and when they return that sentiment it makes it all worth it. When we see someone out there that hands out a piece that we did or seeing someone’s project develop into a finished product is what I like most.”
Each project at Phoenix is different and sometimes, it takes everyone to come together to complete the job. That hard work and camaraderie is celebrated and is what co-owner and third-generation printer, John Wallace Hadden appreciates: “Many have worked here most of their lives with many starting here as their first job,” said Hadden. “We see our employees more than our family at home, so we have worked to create a family atmosphere here at Phoenix. We celebrate everything. Birthdays, showers, graduations, we celebrate it.”
Co-owner and third-generation printer, Kaitlyn Adams knows the reason for the phenomenal achievements of the Phoenix family: “We have more knowledge in this building than could be found anywhere else.”
Hadden and Adams are in the process of taking over the family business and are well on their way to continuing the tradition of partnering with the local community, connecting with them through involvement in local non-profits and charity events. Adams is “proudest when we participate each year with different non-profit events and fundraisers that allow us to be involved in people’s lives,” she says. “To know we had some part in making people’s lives better, makes me proud.”
