Caption: The Ryan’s building is located between the Diablo’s and Chick-fil-A restaurants at 1275 Knox Avenue. There is no timetable for a grand opening.

Ryan’s closed in late 2016 and its assets were sold as part of a bankruptcy auction and has sat vacant in a field of weeds, while dozens of new stores and restaurants have populated Knox Avenue since.

Cook Out was founded in 1989 in Greensboro, North Carolina by Morris Reaves. All of the stores are company owned. He is the owner of the company and his son Jeremy is the CEO.

Meybohm Commercial Real Estate handled the transaction on behalf of the Reeves family. No timetable is set for remodeling or a grand opening.

The Reaves did not want to be interviewed for this story and no sale price was immediately available.
