The United Way of the CSRA giving campaign has been underway for almost a month, and area businesses are imagining unique ways to support the umbrella of organizations that benefit from their volunteer and fundraising efforts.
This week, Club Car made a substantial donation of $114,000. During the check presentation, Robert McElreath, Vice President of Connectivity of Club Car said, “Club Car Global Headquarters, Main Manufacturing Plant, and Distribution Operations are all located in the CSRA and we are excited to give back and support the community that gives so much to us.”
As title sponsor for the Club Car Championship at the Landings Golf & Athletic Club, Club Car works with key supplier partners to raise funds that support United Way and other charitable causes. This donation brings the company’s three-year giving from funds raised through the annual Korn Ferry Tour event to more than $250,000.
“Our relationship with Club Car spans nearly 30 years and is a great example of corporate citizenship. The Club Car team is committed to donating more than money and employees continue to volunteer their time, effort, and resources to United Way and our partner agencies,” said Brittany Burnett, Chief Executive Officer for United Way of the CSRA.
Delta Airlines is also flying in with a SkyMiles offer for donations to the UW campaign. Between now through September 30, 2024, if you are a SkyMiles member, your donation can earn up to 5,000 bonus miles as a thank-you.
SkyMiles Members who donate to United Way through the dedicated donation page between September 6, 2024, and September 30, 2024, will earn a one-time bonus of:
- 1,000 bonus miles for a donation of $50 – $124
- 2,500 bonus miles for a donation of $125 – $299
- 5,000 bonus miles for a donation of $300 or more

Club Car and Delta Airlines join a long list of CSRA businesses giving back to support the community including SRP, Doctors Hospital, Aurubis, SRNS, and John Deere through volunteer hours and financial donations to meet this year’s UW goal of $2.4 million.
