CSRA “C” Store Owner wins national award in midst of legal battles

Greg Parker, owner of several CSRA Parkers Kitchen stores and more than 100 regional stores, just won a national industry award. At the same time, he’s involved in several legal issues related to the Murdaugh family in the Low Country of South Carolina.

Earlier in December, Parker was in Austin, Texas, to accept the 2025 Retailer Executive of the Year award by Convenience Store News.

The award coincided with Parkers Kitchen’s 50th year in business, while surpassing 100 stores in Georgia and South Carolina.

Parker is routinely lauded for his community service efforts in his markets and for innovative solutions like his Club Card pricing, which is tied to a customer’s checking account vs. credit card purchases.

Currently, Greg Parker is involved in the contentious civil case involving the family of deceased teenager Mallory Beach.

It is related to the allegation by the Beach family that Greg Parker and his associates harassed the family on social media and discouraged their original civil suit.

The sides already settled the wrongful death case for more than $15 million. A Parker’s employee allegedly sold underaged Paul Murdaugh alcohol, within hours of Beach getting killed after being thrown from a boat, allegedly driven by Murdaugh in Beaufort, SC, in 2019.

Journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell have also been subpoenaed or deposed in the case by Parker’s attorneys. Matney was one of the Executive Producers of the hit Hulu series that ran in October and November 2025, that delved into the crash and the Murdaugh murders.
