CSRA children’s event scheduled for tomorrow still accepting vendors

Tomorrow, about 30 CSRA businesses and non-profit organizations will serve as vendors for a local outdoor children’s event, and there’s still time for your business to participate.

CSRA Kids, an online guide that provides resources and information about children’s activities, will host the second annual SummerFest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lions Memorial Field located at 619 West Buena Vista Ave. in North Augusta.

So far, vendors for the free event include AR Workshop North Augusta, Premier Martial Arts, Tutor Doctor of Evans, and Bearded Chef. Its sponsors are the YMCA, SRP Federal Credit Union, and Ready, Set, Bounce, an inflatables business.

SummerFest will also include face painting, waterslides, and games.

“North Augusta Public Safety will come out (with a firetruck) to spray the kids,” said Brandy Mitchell, owner of CSRA Kids.

Last year, Mitchell said between 500 and 600 people attended the event, which featured about 20 vendors.

For tomorrow’s event, “We’ll probably hit somewhere around 700-800, but my goal is to hit the 1,000 mark,” she said. “Families enjoy free things to do to get out; it’s going to be a fun day.”

Mitchell is still accepting vendors. The cost to be a vendor is $50 for nonprofits and $75 for businesses. For more information, visit https://fb.me/e/2vpFAieoy, and to register as a vendor, email Mitchell at info@csrakids.com.
