The SRP Affinity Debit Card Program reached $3 million. Early next week, the credit union is going to celebrate.
The card allows SRP members to support local schools simply by using their school-branded debit card for everyday purchases. Each swipe helps generate contributions to 46 local schools.
The program provides critical funding to support educational initiatives, student programs, and school resources.
The celebration will be huge as representatives from the 46 schools are invited to include school leaders, school superintendents, and Board of Education members. It will be held Monday afternoon, May 18, at SRP’s headquarters on Edgefield Road in North Augusta.
The affinity card program was launched in 2018 to benefit local high schools — later, the program expanded to include Augusta Technical College.
SRP provides financial service options to more than 200,000 members across 10 counties in the CSRA.
It was recently named Best-In-State Credit Union in Georgia by Forbes and one of America’s Best Credit Unions in South Carolina by Newsweek.
