Dual dessert and coffee shop to open in CSRA

For many, coffee and desserts are two of the basic food groups, and this summer, local residents will be able to enjoy both at a one-stop shop in Evans.

Meybohm Commercial Properties has announced that two new eateries, Alumni Cookie Dough and Rooted Coffeehouse, are coming to 7025 Evans Town Center Blvd., Suite 213, in The Plaza at Evans Towne Center. That space was formerly occupied by Roll On In and Buzzed Bull Creamery, which both opened and closed last year.

Alumni is an Athens-based company that sells cookie dough scoops, milkshakes, and sundaes. The shop will be Rooted Coffeehouse’s second Evans location; its main location is at 3116 William Few Parkway in Riverwood. Rooted’s owners had planned to open a location in Harlem, but changed their minds.

“I am beyond excited to be a part of the excitement and growth that is taking place at The Plaza at Evans Towne Center,” said Alumni Cookie Dough’s local owner/operator, Jennifer Harpley. “By bringing in Rooted Coffeehouse, we feel that we will be able to offer treats for the kids as well as their parents.”

The new shop is scheduled to open in June. Alumni used to be located at 1202 Town Park Lane, Suite 106, which is now occupied by Arie’s Artisan Cheesecake.

ABD initially reported that SNO-CAP Drive-In was moving into the space formerly occupied by Stay. Social Tap + Table, but nothing has been confirmed so far. We will bring our readers updates as more information becomes available.
